WINTER IN THE ZILLERTAL

In four ski regions, 515 kilometers of slopes and 179 state-of-the-art cable cars & lifts taking you quickly and comfortably from 580 m up to 3,250 m above sea level and offering unique ski, ski touring, sledging and snowshoe experiences in smooth deep snow in winter and on shining white crystals in spring. You can really enjoy the descent on the snow-sure and perfectly groomed ski slopes, in most areas even down into the valley.

The Zillertal Arena is the largest ski area in the Zillertal. On the 143 kilometers of slopes and 52 lifts, ski and snowboard skiers will find a wide range of activities for all skill levels.

Located directly at the valley station of the Zillertal Arena in Zell, the roller coaster is not only fun for the little ones.

There are more ways to slide down the slopes than with skis & snowboards. The new snow fun at the Gerlosstein skiing area is called „Snowtubing“. On specially prepared lines (about 200m) all winter fans can try out this fantastic offer.

The Erlebnistherme thermal baths at the entrance to Zillertal are a favorite place, a world of adventure and well-being at the same time. Treat yourself to a day full of action, exercise, play and relaxation in the spa complex Zillertal.

14 perfectly groomed toboggan runs with a total length of approx. 45 kilometres. 30 km of it are also illuminated in the evening, so that nothing stands in the way of an exciting night tobogganing!

Visit the magical world that unfolds whenever you step through the head of the Giant into Swarovski Crystal Worlds in Wattens. Sparkling underground chambers of wonder and a fascinating garden are awaiting you.

The Hintertux Glacier is Austria’s only year-round ski resort and offers winter sports enthusiasts perfectly groomed, snow-sure runs 365 days of the year, great food and a fascinating experience of nature at altitudes of up to 3,250 m.

If sporting challenges are what you are looking for, Mount Penken is the place for you. For example, the bravest of the brave can try to tackle the legendary Harakiri, Austria's steepest slope adventure with a gradient of 78 percent. It’s the most challenging slope in the Zillertal and should only be attempted by experts.

In the children's area next to the valley station of the Horbergbahn, a 69-metre-long magic carpet and a 180-metre-long t-bar lift await all winter sports newcomers

Mount Ahorn is our Leisure Mountain – a perfect winter wonderland for families and pleasure seekers. The wide pistes are ideal both for carving and for beginners to try out skiing and snowboarding.
